Good Wednesday morning, everyone!
Up until recently, I did more scrapbooking layouts than I did cards. For some reason there seems to be a shift in this as I learn new ways to make cards and find out how fast and easy they are. But since my first papercrafting passion is for scrapbooking I want to share a few new layouts with you that I did during my time at Scrapfest and put the finishing touches on yesterday.
This is my layout for April 12 of 12. For those of you who are new to my blog, the 12 of 12 concept is to take 12 pictures on the 12th of every month (my commitment is for a year but we will see from there) of your every day life and you will have an album of things that happen years from now. So, here is mine:
And a few more layouts that I just finished up:
Thanks for dropping by. And welcome to some new followers as well. Hope you all have a great day!

Card Using Create-A-Critter
Good morning everyone!
With so many of my new found friends in the papercrafting world using the Create-A-Critter cartridge for cards lately I just knew I had to have it. It is SOOOOO cute and I can see using it for many cards in the future. This kitty card was my first attempt at using it and I think it turned out cute. I was trying to use one of the cuts I had not seen before on a card and since I am a cat person this one suited me fine. I honestly can not tell you what I used to create it except for the Create-A-Critter cartridge and My Pink Stamper Everyday Occasions stamp {HUGS} as the rest of the card I just pulled from my stash. And believe me, like all paper crafters, it is a huge stash.

Happy Friday!!! I hope you all have wonderful plans for the weekend. I am working part of it and then I am spending some much needed quality time with my family. Maybe I will even get a chance to get in another card or two :)

THANKS to all of you that have visited and become followers since I started this. Here's to my next 200 visits.

Pictures from Scrapfest
Just wanted to share a few pictures from Scrapfest. The first one is of my Mom and I under the banner when we first arrived. The second one is us standing in front of one of the booths taken by one of the vendors from Two Scrapbooking Friends. The third one is me participating in one of the many Make and Takes that I did. And the fourth picture is of Mom and I scrapbooking at her house on the weekend. At Scrapfest I shopped til I dropped and bought many new items to try including Smooch Spritz which is similar to Glimmer Mist from what I have been told. I did a make and take with it and am looking forward to trying it on a card and then maybe a layout. I ended up completing 9 scrapbooking layouts and used my Cricut to cut titles and shapes for Mom to use on further projects. We had catered meals (by my Dad as he prepared lunch and supper for us on Saturday), talked until the late hours, laughed lots and overall just enjoyed our weekend. It was a tiring and extremely fun time and I am looking forward to it next year already. :)

2 More Sleeps!
...or in this case, 2 more times to try to sleep. Scrapfest is this weekend and I am so excited and have so much to do to get ready along with working a couple of shifts still that I am having problems falling and staying asleep. My mind just goes and goes....so I am up at this early hour and in a few minutes am going to start preparing some page kits to take with me to my Mom's to work on on the weekend in between our many shopping trips. :)
But did I mention I am SUPER excited. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MPS Pink/Green/Black Challenge
Yesterday Robyn at My Pink Stamper and her design team issued a colour challenge to use pink, green and black on a project. Since I was in my craft room anyhow last night, I decided to see what I could come up with and this is the resulting card. It could be used for a birthday card or for any occasion to give to a girlfriend.
Thanks for the challenge, Robyn, because although this is definitely not my usual style I really like how this card turned out. And if you want great inspiration for projects and your Cricut, check out this link as it has become one of my favourite blogs by far.
Thanks for visiting and I hope y'all have a great day!!

March 12 of 12
I am a bit earlier this month posting this than I was last month....it's only the 9th. Again, pictures were printed and placed a while ago. All it needed were the finishing touches which I did last night. Two months down, ten to go, to get a year of 12 of 12's.
Have a great weekend. I am hoping to get some crafting done amidst all of my days working.

Easter Card
Hello everyone! Happy Good Friday...think that may be a bit of an oxymoron but I do hope everyone is having a good day off and taking time to remember why we have this day off.
This is an Easter card I made a couple of days ago. It uses cardstock, ribbon and an egg stamp from Michaels, and the basket and extra eggs were cut from the Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge. The purple cardstock was embossed using the D'vine Swirl cuttlebug folder. The large egg was coloured using watercolour pencils and details were included on all the eggs with stickles.
I also added something new to my pink craft room this week. The card is on an acrylic photo holder from Michaels $1.50 bin. I bought 4 or so of them and am using them in my room to display my latest cards and projects.
