Little Red Wagon Challenge #348 ~ Button It Up!

Hello there.  Another week has passed and it is once again time for a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  Our hostess for the week is Brenda and she has entitled her challenge BUTTON IT UP! ~ she wants to see buttons on your projects.

First off, I just want to say thanks for the encouragement after I totally lost all creativity for last week's challenge and posted late.  It helps to know it happens to all of us one time or another.

For our button challenge I decided to make a wreath with buttons.  I had an idea in my mind but went to Pinterest and combined a few things I saw and ended up with this.  All of these items were scraps and from my stash.  Yeah me....used up some more scraps!

Thanks for dropping by.  Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday and that I will see you back soon.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #347 ~ Kraft~Tastic!

Hey there peeps!  Time of the week again for a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  Our hostess this week is Jan and she chose the theme KRAFT~TASTIC ~ she wants to see you use kraft paper on your projects.  Easy peasy, right?

EDITED TO ADD: For those of you who come visit on a regular basis you will see that this is being posted on Wednesday evening instead of Wednesday morning.  It's confession time.  I left this project for the last minute and last evening it just would not come together for me no matter how I tried.  So I decided to give up on it, go get some rest and try again with fresh eyes this evening after work.  This bag came together in about 30 minutes, it all co-ordinates and looks more like the picture in my head did yesterday than the mess I was seeing on my craft table.  So without further rambling.....

I used a kraft gift bag and decorated it using patterned paper from Simple Stories Let's Party.  Image is from Your Next Stamp coloured with Copic markers.  All other supplies were taken from my endless stash :)

So why not check out what all the other girlfriends have made for inspiration and link up a project of your own using kraft paper.  Remember it doesn't always have to be a card.

Have a great day night now! LOL!!

Custom Orders and Copics

Good morning.  Happy Friday.  Do you have weekend plans?  I am actually not sure what I am doing but I do know that Sunday is Father's Day and I have been extremely busy this week working on custom orders for that.  This is one of them for a co-worker from her son to his father.

Although this image from Stamping Bella called Game On seems so small it took over 46 Copic markers to colour and shade.  I think that may be a record on a single image.  Patterned paper, including the small project life type cards and enamel dots are from Simple Stories So Rad.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #346 ~ Off We Go!!

Hello there.  It seems like I just blink and it is time for another new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  This week I have the privilege of hostessing and my theme is OFF WE GO!  I have vacation on my mind (not that I am taking one but it is the season for them) and want to see cards and projects that contain a vacation theme of some kind.

As some of you may know, my grand children live across the country from me and are much too small to be coming to visit on their own yet but I couldn't help but colour up this cute little image from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps on her way to Grandma's for vacation.  Patterned paper is from Simple Stories Enchanted. I can only dream about it at the moment....

Little Red Wagon Challenge #345 ~ Tag You're It!

Hello again.  It's the time of the week for a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  Our hostess is one of our newer girlfriends Sandy and her theme is TAG...YOU'RE IT! She wants to see tags on your projects. I enjoy making all kinds of tags for gifts but this time decided I would use a tag on a card.  And I liked it so much that I made two...LOL!

I used a stamp set from Your Next Stamp called Keep on Trucking and coloured two of the images with Copics.  Paired them with a tag punch from Creative Memories, patterned paper Jack and Jill by Echo Park and enamel dots by Simple Stories and you have a couple of birthday cards for little boys (or big ones if ya want).

and the inside of both cards:

Come join us with tags of your own at Little Red Wagon this week.  Check out all of the other girlfriends as well and leave us some love.

Thanks for dropping in here.  Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Happy Birthday Mom!!!

Hey there.  It's Friday.  Do you get the weekend off?  If so, I hope you have some fun and creative plans.  The way our schedules work in this house we only get every third weekend off together and this one is it.  Plans are to do some errands and shopping on Saturday and on Sunday we are doing a 5km WALK FOR WOMEN to raise money for women's mental health.  Wish me luck on that one guys as I am so far out of shape that I am not even sure I can walk that far.  I'll let you know next week. After the walk I am coming home to spend the rest of the day in my craft room.

Last week my incredible Mom turned 81 years young.  She and I are great friends and spend much time together so I couldn't resist this image for her.

Image is called Coffee and Friends from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, one of my all time favourite stamp companies, coloured with my Copics.  Patterned paper is Simple Stories Let's Party.  Wooden embellishment and flowers from my stash.  Inside sentiment is Stampin' Up Messages for Mom.

I just want to leave you with this picture of my Mom and I taken on Mother's Day at the photo booth at our church.  It truly shows the playful young-at-heart spirit of my Mom.

Glad you could stop by.  Enjoy your weekend.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #344 ~ Fit It In

Good morning.  It is the start of a new month, the 6th of the year.  My how time flies.  Before we know it, it will be the end of another year already.  But, despite that, it is Wednesday and time for a new challenge at  Little Red Wagon.  Today my friend Kate is the hostess for her first challenge and her theme is "FIT IT IN" ~ use an inlaid die cut on your project.  Now I have a confession.  I had no idea what that meant so off to find out on Pinterest and YouTube.  I found many examples and some video tutorials and this is the result of my first attempt at an inlaid die cut.  I am not really sure how to explain it except you fit the die into the negative space like I did with the word thanks, the curly ques and the butterfly including all the tiny cut out pieces.  It is fun but time consuming and fiddly for sure.  Not totally happy with the liquid glue showing but  do like how the pieces fit together with the look of layers on a flat card.

Card stock is Recollections, patterned paper Simple Stories Carpe Diem, die cuts are Lawn Fawn and Memory Box and embellishments are from my stash.  No stamping or colouring on this card.

Thanks for coming by today.  It is nice to have you visit.  Please leave me a comment if you would like so that I know you were here.  And then, head on over to Little Red Wagon, check out the inspiration from all of the talented girlfriends and try your hand at an inlaid die cut.  Can't wait to see what you create.

Have a wonderful day my friends.
