Happy Anniversary to Me!!

Good morning.  Today is my 15th Wedding Anniversary.  I am spending it far away from my hubby who is at home working while I am on vacation visiting my son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren.  So tucked under his pillow was the following card.  (I am sure he found it before today but hopefully didn't open it as the instructions on the envelope said.)

Background is done with a watercolour wash.  I am not totally happy about the way it turned out so I will need more practice as this was the first time trying it. Image is from Lawn Fawn Winter Skies coloured with Copics and a paper pieced scarf.  Sentiment is from Kraftin. Kimmie Sparkle and Shine.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hope you are havng a great week.

I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday with family and friends.  Thanks to each of you for being a part of my life in a small way through my blog this year.  I have some ideas and changes that may be coming soon.  Stay tuned!!

One last Christmas card to share.  The snow globe is a combination of two sets from Kraftin' Kimmie ~ Shake It Up and Holiday Village.  The background is Kraftin' Kimmie Sweater weather stencil in Ruby Red and  Enchanting Emerald inks.  Gems from my stash.

Remember the reason for the season as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour today.  May you rest in His peace.

Something New ~ Custom Wine Tags

Hello and welcome back to my blog.  I have something new and different to show you today that was a commissioned order.  I have a good friend who has just purchased a condo in South Carolina that she will be renting out. She wanted something to leave for her guests when they arrived.  After searching the Internet for what we really wanted, between the two of us this is what we designed.

The tag itself is computer generated.  I rounded the corners, scored the top and punched the hole for the wine bottle.  I added stamps of leaves and berries in the same coastal blues of the decor of the condo and finished them off by inking the edges in a soft turquoise.  And viola, personalized wine bottle tags.

I will be adding these to my custom orders so if you are interested, please message me on my Facebook business page HERE.  They make great hostess gifts or something special for a wedding table.

Have a great weekend.  It's the last one before Christmas.  Are you all ready???

Not Just Black and White ~ Little Red Wagon Challenge #476

Hey there.  Welcome back to a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  This week our hostess is Imke and her challenge is entitled NOT JUST BLACK AND WHITE ~ she wants to see your projects using black, white and one other colour.  A fun challenge.

Once again in keeping with the season (I still need more cards and can not believe Christmas is less than 2 weeks away), I used black, white and red to create this Christmas card.  Stamp is from Kraftin' Kimmie called Merry and Bright Birdies.  Sentiment is also from Kraftin' Kimmie's Holly Jolly Ornaments set stamped with Kraftin' Kimmie Ruby Red ink.  Patterned paper is Carta Bella Christmas Delivery.  Gems from my stash.

Your turn...you know what to do.  Head on over to Little Red Wagon, check out the amazing inspiration and link up a black, white plus one project of your own.

Thanks for dropping by.  See you next week for the last challenge of the year for Little Red Wagon.  Have a great day!!

Purrs and Wags ~ Little Red Wagon Challenge #475

Today at

we begin a new challenge with Kate as our hostess.  Her theme is PURRS AND WAGS ~ she wants to see your makes using house pets such as dogs, cats, mice, bunnies....whatever animals you would have in a house.

Keeping in the spirit of the season, my card uses a stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie called Santa Paws.  I chose to use the girl with the puppy even though I myself am more of a cat person.  I coloured her up in my Copics in very traditional colours.  Patterned paper is from Lawn Fawn Knit Picky.  All the rest is from my stash.

Now it's your turn.  Head on over to Little Red Wagon, check out the amazing inspiration from the other girlfriends and link up a project using a house pet.  Looking forward to seeing your makes.

Have a great day!

No Cards Allowed ~ Little Red Wagon Challenge #473

Hi there.  Today at

our hostess is Jan and her challenge is NO CARDS ALLOWED ~ so, for this week, we have a no card policy.  That means you can showcase anything else in paper crafting such as a scrapbook page, a pocket page or an altered item.  But that's not all ~ you can also showcase any other craft or do-it-yourself project that you do, for example, knitting or furniture upholstering.

Now I only wish I could have knitted super fast and showcased the throw I have been working on for the past two years....LOL! Or the wreath I am supposed to be making for the door this Christmas.  But alas, I resorted back to my ever faithful paper crafting and made a couple of tags for presents (and I know how much Jan appreciates tags....hee!hee!)

I came across the window tag idea while watching tag videos on YouTube.  I used a window die from Memory Box.  I cut out one and then traced it to make a solid piece for the back and cut that one out by hand.  The images are from Kraftin' Kimmie's  Holiday Village coloured with my Copics.  I added lots of snow with my UniBall signo white pen.  I added an acetate layer for the window, a sentiment and a ribbon.

As always, head on over to Little Red Wagon and check out the inspiration from the other girlfriends.  Link up something other than a card to show us.  I'm sure you have lots of ideas.

Thanks for dropping in.  Have a great day!!

Remember When ~ Little Red Wagon Challenge #472

Good day, peeps!!  Today at

It's my turn to hostess and my theme is REMEMBER WHEN ~ but that''s just my way of saying remember when you bought something for your crafting stash and never used it.  You know as crafters we all do this for sure.  My big thing to collect is stamp sets.  So I picked out one and used it on this card.

I used none other than Kraftin' Kimmie (now there's a surprise).  This set is Holly Jolly Ornaments stamped with Kraftin Kimmie inks in Mermaid Melody, Lovely Lagoon, Raspberry Rose and Granite Grey.  Boughs were die cut using a retired Your Next Stamp branch.  Sparkly gems are also from my stash of embellishments.

So head on over to Little Red Wagon, check out the inspiration from the other girlfriends and link up a project using something in your stash you have never used.  I am looking forward to seeing them all.

Have a great Wednesday!!

Just A Sentiment ~ Little Red Wagon Challenge #471

****This is my second post of the day.  If you are here for the krafty sneak peek and weren't sent directly to the post please click HERE or scroll down****

Welcome to a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  Our hostess today is Imke and she's saying JUST A SENTIMENT ~ she wants to see your makes featuring a sentiment front and centre.

And this was a challenge for me ~ not that I don't have some amazing sentiments but it is unusual for me to make them the focus as I am so used to colouring an image for that.  Thanks, Imke, for getting me out of my comfort zone.  After all, that's what challenges are supposed to do.  Here's what I came up with ~

I took a sentiment from the Shake It Up set from Kraftin' Kimmie and embossed it on multi media paper in clear embossing powder (Next time I think I would use white as it would stand out better.) I then took two colours of Kraftin' Kimmie hybrid ink, Ruby Red and Enchanting Emerald, and inked them in stripes onto the paper.  I mounted this onto white card stock cut out with a Lawn Fawn Stitched rectangle die.  Flower and leaf die cuts are Your Next Stamp and Spellbinders.  Twine and dots from my stash.

Head on over to Little Red Wagon and check out some inspiration from the other girlfriends.  They are a super talented bunch.  Leave them some love on their blogs and come back and link up a SENTIMENT project of your own so we can leave you some love (ie. a comment on your blog ~ everyone likes to see some of those).

Thanks for coming by.  Enjoy the rest of your day!

Regal and Royal ~ Little Red Wagon Challenge #470

Hello all!  Welcome back to my blog and to the start of a new challenge at

This week our hostess is Kate and her theme is REGAL AND ROYAL ~  she wants to see our makes with kings and queens, princes and princesses, castles, etc.  Anything royal will do.

Now this finished project I am about to show you was not how it started out.  It was going to be a birthday card for my grand daughter using the princess from the retired Kraftin' Kimmie set called Believe in Fairy Tales.  But I had a really rough day at work and remembered I had this very sarcastic sentiment from C.C. Designs so I put it to good use :)  Patterned paper is Echo Park Imagine That. Flowers are Your Next Stamp Groovy Flower die. Sequins from my stash.

Your turn ~ head to Little Red Wagon, check out the inspiration there and link up a royal project of your own.  It will be great to see what you make.

Have a great Wednesday!!! (and even though I am not into it at all....Happy Halloween.)

Damsel in Distress ~ Little Red Wagon Challenge #469

Hello all!  It's challenge time again at

Our hostess this week is Brenda and sh'[e saying "DAMSEL IN DISTRESS" meaning she wants to see distressing on our makes.  This could be distress ink or distressed edges or both ~ it's up to you.

This is my make.  It is a customer order for a husband who like antique cars.  I found the image of the 1957 Chevy on a colouring page, printed it and coloured it with my Copics.  Patterned paper is Simple Stories Pumpkin Spice.  Edges of all paper were distressed with my distressing tool.  I enjoy doing that on masculine cards as it gives them an edgier look.  Sentiment is High Hopes embossed with white.

Head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up a distressed project of your own.  Can't wait to see.

Have a good day!

Digi Do ~ Little Red Wagon Challenge #468

Welcome back to my blog.  It's that day of the week again where we begin a new challenge at

                                                        I Design for

Jan is our hostess this week and her challenge is DIGI DO ~ she wants to see us use a digital stamp on your project.

True confession time...I knew this challenge was approaching and I also knew my printer was out of black ink.  I had purchased the stamp from a new to me company Power Poppy by Marcella Hawley but hadn't printed it yet.  I bought the Bring Home the Sunflowers set to make a couple of birthday cards for my Mom.  She is giving them to 2 ladies who are over 90 so I had to use something other than my usual cutesy style.  And, like a teenager who leaves their project to the last minute, I rushed out after supper last night to purchase ink for my printer.  And now I have a card made with a digital stamp to share :)

Printed paper is from Simple Stories Pumpkin Spice.  Image is Power Poppy coloured with my Copic markers.   Fishtail banner is Your Next Stamp and Happy Birthday sentiment is High Hopes stamped in Lawn Fawn Yeti.  Bling is from my stash.

Your turn...head on over to Little Red Wagon, check out the inspiration from the other girlfriends and link up a project using a digital stamp of your own.

Have a great day!!

Thankful for You ~ Little Red Wagon Challenge #467

Hello all!  I am your hostess this week at

and my theme is THANKFUL FOR YOU ~ I want to see your thank you cards and projects.  Since we, in Canada, have just celebrated Thanksgiving I thought this theme appropriate and who doesn't need thank you cards to send out on occasion.

Because it's still Autumn (although the weather has warmed up here once again...sigh) my card has an Autumn theme as well as a thank you one.  I took the Scripty Thanks die by Lawn Fawn and used it as a stencil where I inked over it with three colours of Kraftin' Kimmie Hybrid inks ~ Pumpkin Patch, Mossy Meadow and Marvelous Mocha.  I added splotches of white paint and some clear sequins.  The pumpkin is from Kraftin' Kimmie Grateful Pumpkins set stamped with Pumpkin Patch and Mossy Meadow and fussy cut.  Patterned paper is Simple Stories Pumpkin Spice.

Your turn.  Head on over to Little Red Wagon, check out the inspiration by the other girlfriends and link up a THANK YOU project of your own,

Thanks for coming by.  Like the title of this post says, I am thankful for you and appreciate the time you take to visit my corner of the crafting world.  Have a great day!!

Stencil It! ~ Little Red Wagon Challenge #466

Good day!  Another new Wednesday and another new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  Imke is our hostess and her challenge is entitled STENCIL IT ~ she wants to see a stencil on your projects.

Here's my take:

I was in a little bit of a mojo slump so decided a couple of new supplies might help (along with LOTS of surfing Pinterest, YouTube and Facebook for inspiration.)  Headed off to my local scrapbook store and here's the result.  Stencil used is Sleigh Ride by Carta Bella.  I used 3 colours of Tim Holtz distress ink ~ black soot, faded jeans and blueprint sketch (not new ~ LOL!) to create my night time sky and then added the snow falling with the stencil using Lawn Fawn Yeti stamp pad.  I stamped and embossed Santa and his sleigh in the sky .  Santa, polar bears, trees and sentiment are from the new Lawn Fawn Winter Skies set.  Scarves paper piecing and background patterned paper are from the new Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow Christmas paper pad.  I like the result of my new supplies ~ not so sure my wallet does though!

Well, your turn....check out the inspiration at Little Red Wagon, pick out some supplies, or like me, buy new ones, and link up a STENCIL project of your own.  Looking forward to seeing all of your creations.

Thanks for coming by.  Enjoy your day!!

Falling Leaves ~ Little Red Wagon Challenge #465

Hello. Welcome to another Wednesday and a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  Kate is our hostess this week and her theme is FALLING LEAVES which is just her way of saying that she wants to see Fall/Autumn projects.

If you've come to visit my blog in the last few weeks you will have seen Fall/Autumn projects for the last three challenges.  And I know I have mentioned that it is my favourite season so this challenge was a fantastic one for myself.

I used a stamp set from Lawn Fawn called Jump for Joy and coloured some of the images with my Copics and fussy cut them out.  Patterned paper is Simple Stories Pumpkin Spice and Lawn Fawn Rainbow.  Brown card stock is cut with Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle dies.  Banner is Your Next Stamp and sentiment is stamped with Kraftin' Kimmie Marvelous Mocha ink.  I kept the dimension to a minimum as this card is to be sent in the mail.

Guess what?  It's your turn.  Head on over to Little Red Wagon, check out the inspiration from the girlfriends and link up a Fall themed project of your own.  As always, I can't wait to see what you create.

Thanks for dropping by.  Have a great day!!

Tag You're It! ~ Little Red Wagon Challenge #464

Good morning!!!  It's a lovely Fall day today and I am off work and starting to pack up our trailer for the season.  Fall is my favourite of the seasons but it is a bittersweet time as well when we have to pack up the seasonal home and leave it for 7 months.  Anyhow, enough about my life.

I am sure you dropped in for the new challenge at Little Red Wagon this week.  Brenda is our hostess and her challenge is TAG YOU'RE IT!  She wants to see you make tags ~ tags for any occasion or use.  I hope to make up some goodies to give away for Thanksgiving (Canadian Thanksgiving is in three weeks) and decided these tags would be great to put on them.  I used a premade tag from Recollections in kraft. Stamp set is Grateful Pumpkins by Kraftin' Kimmie and stamped with Kraftin' Kimmie Pumpkin Patch, Mossy Meadow and Marvelous Mocha Hybrid Inks.  A few leaves were coloured with my Wink of Stella to add a subtle bit of sparkle. Edges were inked with Marvelous Mocha.  Ribbon, twin and leaf buttons were in my stash.

As always, it's your turn.  Head on over to Little Red Wagon, check out all of the inspirations and link up a tag of your own.  It's going to be great to see all of your projects  as I love tags.

Thanks for coming by.  Enjoy the rest of your day!
