A New Monthly Tradition.....10 Months til Christmas!

Hello all and Happy Saturday.

So back around the holidays when I was stressing so badly about getting my cards finished (which, btw, were never sent this year at all!) I knew I needed a different system to get them done before the holidays and actually mailed.  If you were lucky enough to see me in person, you MAY have received a card.  My bff, Shari and I talked about making a card a month and posting on the 25th of each month so that by Christmas we would have cards to send.  Here is our first post.  It is going to be a mini blog hop.....only Shari & I this month but if you would like to join us on this journey, please e-mail me and let us know!  The more the merrier!!!!  Also, since I am more of a Cricut person and Shari is a Copics person, our plan is to make 2 cards a month with our Copics and one with our Cricut......letting us both stretch our comfort zones.  Onto my cards (I am going to admit something here.....this month kinda snuck up on me so both these cards were started but never finished......):

First up, my Cricut card.  I know I saw this card made somewhere in blogland a while ago but can not remember who to give credit to but it is not my original idea.

Card stock ~ Recollections
Cricut ~ Create a Critter penguin cut at 4", lights cut at 2"
Cuttlebug ~ Snowflake embossing folder
Sentiment ~ JustWordz "Christmas Season"
Glossy Accents
Bling from "Use it Up" Inventory

And my Copic card:

Card stock ~ Recollections
Patterned Paper ~ unknown, had for a while
Image ~ Kraftin' Kimmie "Gift Wrapping Elf" coloured with
my Copics and paper pieced
Sentiment ~ Inkadinkadoo "Christmas Wishes"
Bling from "Use it Up" Inventory

Okay, please go check out Shari's blog to see her fabulous cards.  Leave her some love and let her know I sent you :)

Thanks for dropping by today.  Don't forget to let us know if you want to join in our fun.  Happy crafting (& Merry Christmas....LOL!)

  1. Hey Hun! I Love the Penguin, sooo cute! and you know I love your copic card as you used a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp. Great job and I'm sure March will be just as great.

  2. Great cards Heather! I love your idea. I would love to join you in this challenge.

  3. What a fabulous idea!!! I am totally going to join you! Thanks for sharing! I just love both of these cards!

  4. What a wonderful idea. I need to plan way ahead too since I tend to procrastinate. Send me a message when you are ready for the next post. I might be able to do a couple if it doesn't conflict with DT posts. : )
