Hey there. Yep, another Wednesday and another new challenge at Little Red Wagon. Our hostess this week is one of our brand new team members Brenda. She has called her first challenge with us "UP, UP AND AWAY" and is looking for anything that flies. There are lots of possibilities ~ birds, balloons, airplanes, gliders, and my least favourite, insects.
I bought this hummingbird stamp set (now retired) from Your Next Stamp quite a while ago but have never used it. Since it falls into the flying category I pulled it out and used it for my project today. But I don't have a card to show you today because I returned to my roots and used these stamps to make filler cards for my project life scrapbook album. I have garden pictures I plan to add to the mats.
Won't you join me and the other girlfriends, visit each of our blogs for inspiration and link your project at our "UP, UP AND AWAY" challenge?
Thanks for dropping by. Hope to "see" you soon.

PDE Linky Party ~ Sweet Treats
Hello there. This post is just a few days late... :) It was supposed to be up and going by Friday but life kinda got in the way, both good and bad. The good....it was the weekend and I got to relax a bit and catch up on long overdue chores and cooking, and the best part, got to "hangout" (we use Google Hangouts as found that one best for the devices we have) with my son, daughter-in-law and my three grandchildren for the first time since my new grandson was born July 11th. They are all well and growing so fast. It was an extremely special time for me. The bad....let's just say it involved a lot of cleaning up after some work was done in our apartment and leave it at that. But seen as how I am a total perfectionist it had to be done right away and with my job left no time for crafting. I am SOOOOOO not organised and working ahead on my design team projects so it fell through the cracks. It's ready to be revealed now.
There is some news I want to share. I have once again joined the PDE Linky Party design team. We are up and running again with weekly challenges so please check it out and join us. I will be posting once a month for them....and on time from now on!
So our theme this week is SWEET TREATS. I used this "sweet" image from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps called Lola Lollipop coloured with my Copic markers, paired with some papers from Echo Park's I Love Sunshine pad and a few things from my stash for embellishments. Voila, a blank card able to be used for many different occasions.
Won't you join us and create something "sweet" of your own this week? Can not wait to see.
I would also like to enter this card into the Krafty Friends' Summer Stampin' Party.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #299 ~ Thickers and/or Stickers
Good Morning. It seems like Wednesday is rolling around faster and faster and it also seems like Wednesday is the only day I am posting here at all anymore. Maybe, just maybe, I will try to change that soon. ;) My only excuse at the moment is I started a full time job at the beginning of June and have had trouble adjusting to the new schedule and getting everything I need and want done. Hopefully it is coming along and falling into place with a new normal.
It is the beginning of a new challenge at Little Red Wagon today and our hostess is Jan. She wants us to use THICKERS AND/OR STICKERS on our projects. Huh??? Well, I do know what stickers are but also know they were either a) given away or b) buried deep in my stash. And, as for thickers, I kinda knew what they were but also knew I didn't own any (By the way, thickers are a brand of thick letters in case you were wondering.) Needless to say, this was quite a true challenge for me.
Remember the masking tape technique that I used HERE? I used it again with my Tim Holtz mini distress inks and made a rainbow for the front of my card. I then dug deep into my wagon of supplies and came up with some black Creative Memories letter stickers and used them for the sentiment. Added some flower embellishments in matching colours and created a simple thank you card to use anytime.
Thanks for dropping in. Come on over to Little Red Wagon this week and check out all the inspiration from the girlfriends and come back to link up your THICKERS AND/OR STICKERS project.
Until next time, keep crafting!

Little Red Wagon Challenge #298 ~ Beach Theme
Good morning. I can not believe it is another Wednesday morning with another new challenge at Little Red Wagon. Our hostess is Joanne and her choice is a BEACH THEME~ any kind of card that reminds you of the beach.
I am not a real big fan of the sun or the heat so the beach would probably not be my favourite place to be in the Summer but I like how this cutie looks in her pink and green sun suit and floppy hat on the beach. She is an older image by Elisabeth Bell for Whimsy stamps, coloured up with my Copic markers and paired with fun, bright patterned paper. I added a few real shells to give it an authentic beach feel.
For those of you who wished me a Happy Birthday last week thank you. It was an entire weekend of celebrating with friends and family. I am so blessed.
Thanks for dropping in today. Don't forget to visit all the other girlfriend's blogs and leave them some loving. Then go on over to Little Red Wagon to link up your BEACH THEMED projects.
Until next time, keep crafting!

Little Red Wagon Challenge #297 ~ Birthday Theme
Good morning!! Welcome to another challenge at Little Red Wagon. I am the hostess this week and our theme is simply just BIRTHDAYS. Guess I had them on my mind since mine is coming up this week. We all need birthday cards in our stash so grab your supplies and make any kind of birthday card ~ kids, adult, funny, special ~ you get the picture.
I tried a new technique on this card called the masking tape technique. You use painter's tape, not masking tape actually, add ink to the sticky side and place it on card stock to make the background. I used my Tim Holtz mini distress inks for this one but can see many more in my future as it was a very simple, easy and quick card.

Before I go, I am sure my regular visitors can see some big changes to my blog. I want to give a big shout out to my friend Joanne for the new look. It is so fresh and clean and I just love it.
I also want to share some other news. Another friend has begun to sell my cards at her booth in St. Jacob's Farmer's Market (Ontario, Canada). If you are local, please come check out OH THE SCRAPABILITIES. She is there every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for the Summer.
Have a wonderful Wednesday, my friends.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #296 ~ Red and White!
Wednesday again and another new challenge at Little Red Wagon. It is also CANADA DAY today (July 1st) so a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Canada. Our hostess this week is Carolyn and she wants to see red and white in honour of Canada Day. You can use other colours as well but make sure red and white are the focus. And a huge welcome to our three new girlfriends, Brenda, Donna and Mandy. Make sure you check out their blogs.
So, I have a very traditional red and white card to celebrate Canada Day. I used an image from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps featuring the skyline of Toronto and the CN Tower which is the city I was born in.
