Little Red Wagon Challenge #339 ~ Sunshiny Days

Good morning.  Welcome to another weekly challenge post for Little Red Wagon where I am the hostess and our challenge is entitled SUNSHINY DAYS ~ I want to see a sun on your project.  I am hoping that by seeing lots of sunshine it will come to pass.

My card uses patterned paper from Doodlebug's Springtime paper pad.  Most other supplies are from Stampin' Up.  Embossing, distressing and foam tape give it some dimension.  A great card to use for lots of reasons.

So come join us this week at Little Red Wagon, check out what the other girlfriends have made and link up a project of your own.  I can't wait to see.

Have a good Wednesday.

A Bonus Day While I'm Away

Hee hee!!!  Do you like the title of this post?  I have been so bad lately at posting anything other than design team commitments I decided that while I am visiting my son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren I would schedule a post to go live that is not for any other reason than I wanted to.  It would be nice if I could get back into doing this on a more consistent basis.

Last Friday I had a chance to go to Scrapfest in Kitchener and do some of the make and takes.  This was the one from Two Scrapbook Friends using Tim Holtz products ~ watercolour paper, distress inks and crayons, brick stencil and Crazy Birds stamps.  A few dew drops, twine and glossy accents (that I added) finish it off.

Thanks for coming by.  Have a great weekend and take some time to do something for you.  And, if you're inclined, make it something crafty.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #338 ~ Text Me!!

Good morning.  Today begins a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  Our hostess is Jan and her challenge is TEXT ME!!  No, she does not mean that literally so we don't have her phone blowing up.  She wants to see text, you know, words, on your projects.  These can be either in the form of paper or stamping.

I bought this THANKS  die by Lawn Fawn a while ago and have not had the chance to use it yet so today's challenge was the perfect opportunity.  I also combined a watercolour technique for the background as I enjoyed learning it a few weeks ago. The butterfly die was a freebie from a magazine.  A few sequins and some black ribbon add some dimension.

And a bit of text on the inside too:

Thanks for dropping by.  Head on over to Little Red Wagon, visit all the other girlfriends to get inspired (and leave us a comment on our blog so we know you visited) and link up a word project of your own.

Have a wonderful Wednesday.

PDE Linky Party ~ Baby Blanket

Good morning.  Today begins a new challenge at:

And what I have to show you today proves that it really is an "ANYTHING GOES" challenge.  As long as you have created it, you can share.  It doesn't have to be paper crafting at all.

Here is a blanket that I knit for my newest grandchild.  He will be 10 months old soon so it's about time I got it to him...LOL!!  They live 3,000 miles away from me and I am flying out to see them bright and early tomorrow morning....whoo hoo!!!  I am NOT excited at all.  This blanket uses the Bernat Baby Blanket yarn and features a cable knit pattern which I tried to show in the second photo but it was hard to capture.

Thanks for dropping in.  Join us at PDE Linky Party with a project of your own this week.  It's always a fun place to be.

Have a great weekend and I will see you soon.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #337 ~ April Showers

Hello there.  Yep, it's that time again....time for a new weekly challenge at Little Red Wagon. This week our hostess is Brenda and her theme is APRIL SHOWERS.  She wants to see projects that focus on rain or water.

Here in Ontario we haven't had many April showers......it's been April snow.  Wishing for warmer weather soon but I digress. My card features a stamp set from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps called Look for Rainbows.  Patterned paper is Doodlebug Springtime and must have been one of my favourite paper pads as every single bit of it is almost used up.  Your Next Stamp Fishtail Die Set, Spellbinders Nestabilities Petite Scalloped Circles and Tiny bubbles Embossing folder were also used.  Embellishments were from my stash.  I am sending this card to a special niece of mine and really liked the finished product.

Little Red Wagon #336 ~ Celebrate!!!

Hello friends!  Today begins a new challenge at Little Red Wagon and the theme is CELEBRATE!!  So it's an easy challenge as there are so many things to celebrate ~ birthdays, anniversaries, new babies, new seasons, etc.

I chose to celebrate a Spring wedding with my card.  Stamp is a retired one from Your Next Stamp called Wedding Fhionna.  Patterned paper is Dovetail Fairytale.  Punch and sentiments from Stampin' Up.
