Regal and Royal ~ Little Red Wagon Challenge #470

Hello all!  Welcome back to my blog and to the start of a new challenge at

This week our hostess is Kate and her theme is REGAL AND ROYAL ~  she wants to see our makes with kings and queens, princes and princesses, castles, etc.  Anything royal will do.

Now this finished project I am about to show you was not how it started out.  It was going to be a birthday card for my grand daughter using the princess from the retired Kraftin' Kimmie set called Believe in Fairy Tales.  But I had a really rough day at work and remembered I had this very sarcastic sentiment from C.C. Designs so I put it to good use :)  Patterned paper is Echo Park Imagine That. Flowers are Your Next Stamp Groovy Flower die. Sequins from my stash.

Your turn ~ head to Little Red Wagon, check out the inspiration there and link up a royal project of your own.  It will be great to see what you make.

Have a great Wednesday!!! (and even though I am not into it at all....Happy Halloween.)

Damsel in Distress ~ Little Red Wagon Challenge #469

Hello all!  It's challenge time again at

Our hostess this week is Brenda and sh'[e saying "DAMSEL IN DISTRESS" meaning she wants to see distressing on our makes.  This could be distress ink or distressed edges or both ~ it's up to you.

This is my make.  It is a customer order for a husband who like antique cars.  I found the image of the 1957 Chevy on a colouring page, printed it and coloured it with my Copics.  Patterned paper is Simple Stories Pumpkin Spice.  Edges of all paper were distressed with my distressing tool.  I enjoy doing that on masculine cards as it gives them an edgier look.  Sentiment is High Hopes embossed with white.

Head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up a distressed project of your own.  Can't wait to see.

Have a good day!

Digi Do ~ Little Red Wagon Challenge #468

Welcome back to my blog.  It's that day of the week again where we begin a new challenge at

                                                        I Design for

Jan is our hostess this week and her challenge is DIGI DO ~ she wants to see us use a digital stamp on your project.

True confession time...I knew this challenge was approaching and I also knew my printer was out of black ink.  I had purchased the stamp from a new to me company Power Poppy by Marcella Hawley but hadn't printed it yet.  I bought the Bring Home the Sunflowers set to make a couple of birthday cards for my Mom.  She is giving them to 2 ladies who are over 90 so I had to use something other than my usual cutesy style.  And, like a teenager who leaves their project to the last minute, I rushed out after supper last night to purchase ink for my printer.  And now I have a card made with a digital stamp to share :)

Printed paper is from Simple Stories Pumpkin Spice.  Image is Power Poppy coloured with my Copic markers.   Fishtail banner is Your Next Stamp and Happy Birthday sentiment is High Hopes stamped in Lawn Fawn Yeti.  Bling is from my stash.

Your turn...head on over to Little Red Wagon, check out the inspiration from the other girlfriends and link up a project using a digital stamp of your own.

Have a great day!!

Snowman Fun! ~ The Merry Christmas Challenge October 15 to November 14

Hello!  I am so glad to announce that I am back designing for:

Challenges are once a month beginning on the 15th of the month and running through to the 14th of the following month.  So this post is from October 15th to November 14th.  The challenge is always ANYTHING GOES CHRISTMAS ~ cards, scrap book layouts, tags, wreaths, etc.  You may link up three projects during the month.

So, here's mine for this month:

Snowmen are from Hampton Arts coloured with my Copics.  Sentiment is from the same set embossed in white on the sky made with Tim Holtz Broken China and Sea Glass distress inks.  Snowflakes in the sky are splattered white paint.  Hills are Lawn Fawn border dies.  Patterned paper is Lawn Fawn Rainbow Christmas.

Why not join us at The Merry Christmas Challenge and get some of your Christmas projects done before it gets too busy?

As always, thanks for dropping by.  Enjoy your day!

Thankful for You ~ Little Red Wagon Challenge #467

Hello all!  I am your hostess this week at

and my theme is THANKFUL FOR YOU ~ I want to see your thank you cards and projects.  Since we, in Canada, have just celebrated Thanksgiving I thought this theme appropriate and who doesn't need thank you cards to send out on occasion.

Because it's still Autumn (although the weather has warmed up here once again...sigh) my card has an Autumn theme as well as a thank you one.  I took the Scripty Thanks die by Lawn Fawn and used it as a stencil where I inked over it with three colours of Kraftin' Kimmie Hybrid inks ~ Pumpkin Patch, Mossy Meadow and Marvelous Mocha.  I added splotches of white paint and some clear sequins.  The pumpkin is from Kraftin' Kimmie Grateful Pumpkins set stamped with Pumpkin Patch and Mossy Meadow and fussy cut.  Patterned paper is Simple Stories Pumpkin Spice.

Your turn.  Head on over to Little Red Wagon, check out the inspiration by the other girlfriends and link up a THANK YOU project of your own,

Thanks for coming by.  Like the title of this post says, I am thankful for you and appreciate the time you take to visit my corner of the crafting world.  Have a great day!!

Stencil It! ~ Little Red Wagon Challenge #466

Good day!  Another new Wednesday and another new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  Imke is our hostess and her challenge is entitled STENCIL IT ~ she wants to see a stencil on your projects.

Here's my take:

I was in a little bit of a mojo slump so decided a couple of new supplies might help (along with LOTS of surfing Pinterest, YouTube and Facebook for inspiration.)  Headed off to my local scrapbook store and here's the result.  Stencil used is Sleigh Ride by Carta Bella.  I used 3 colours of Tim Holtz distress ink ~ black soot, faded jeans and blueprint sketch (not new ~ LOL!) to create my night time sky and then added the snow falling with the stencil using Lawn Fawn Yeti stamp pad.  I stamped and embossed Santa and his sleigh in the sky .  Santa, polar bears, trees and sentiment are from the new Lawn Fawn Winter Skies set.  Scarves paper piecing and background patterned paper are from the new Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow Christmas paper pad.  I like the result of my new supplies ~ not so sure my wallet does though!

Well, your turn....check out the inspiration at Little Red Wagon, pick out some supplies, or like me, buy new ones, and link up a STENCIL project of your own.  Looking forward to seeing all of your creations.

Thanks for coming by.  Enjoy your day!!
