Thankful for You

Yesterday I had some time to spend in my craft room.  I do have many projects that need done for commitments I have but decided I needed to do something just for me.  I wanted to enjoy the time with no pressure.  Since Canadian Thanksgiving is only a couple of weeks away that was the kind of card I thought I would make.  So here it is:

Inside:

and a close up of the image:

And, because I was just "playing" I did not write down any of the supplies or markers I used.  I suppose I could take the time to figure them out.  But you know what?  I am not going to :)  So enjoy my card and remember that I am thankful for you, my loyal friends and followers who join me on this creative journey.

Happy Friday.  Enjoy your weekend.  Take some time for you to do something you enjoy.

P.S.  I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Your Next Stamp Fun Friday Challenge #4 ~ Sketch or Photo Inspiration
Dare to be Sassy Thursday #196 ~ Autumn Colours

Snowy Tag

PLEASE NOTE:  This is my second post for today.  For the "3 Months Til Christmas" Blog Hop, please scroll down.

Welcome to my last Christmas post using the High Hopes Christmas release for One Crazy Stamper.  Hasn't this last month been so much fun? I have enjoyed seeing all the cards and projects made with these great stamps.  You still have a few days to join us for our "CHRISTMAS" themed challenge for September but time is running out so move quickly.  (Don't I just sound like one of those late night infomercials?  LOL!)

Today I have two tags to show you using the Snowy Tag stamp.  One is very traditional and the other not so much.

TAG #1:
Front
Back

RECIPE:
(All linked supplies are available for purchase at One Crazy Stamper)
Patterned Paper ~ Recollections
Sentiment ~ High Hopes
Ink ~ Close to My Heart Cranberry
Ribbon ~ Michaels
Twine ~ American Crafts
Sakura White Gelly Roll Pen

Copics Used:  0. B000. N4, N6, N8, N10, R24, R37. R89

TAG #2
Front
Back

RECIPE:
Washi/Craft Tape ~ Recollections
Sentiment ~ Your Next Stamp
Ink ~ Studio G Dark Pink
Ribbon ~ Michaels
Sakura White Gelly Roll Pen

Copics Used: B02, B05, BV13, BV15, BV18, RV11, RV13, RV14, W1, W3, W5, W7

I paper pieced the scarf, hatband and fringe on tag #1 with paper and tag #2 with washi/craft tape.  Because I had used Copic markers on Copic paper you could see them on the other side of the tag so I used the matching paper on tag #1 and 3 different types of washi tape in diagonal stripes to disguise the marker coming through.

Thanks for coming by today.  I hope you are enjoying your day and will make some time to get crafty.

"3 Months til Christmas" Blog Hop

Hello.  I am so glad you could come by today for our monthly hop.  Last month I was not able to participate so I am glad to be back :)  If you have arrived from my bff, Shari's blog, then you are in the correct spot.  If not, you will want to go back and see the incredible cards she has created first and then rejoin me here.  If you are new to our hop, let me give you a bit of background.  Two years ago my bff realized that she ran out of time in the busy months of November and December to get her Christmas cards and projects done so she decided to make 2 Christmas things once a month on the 25th to get a head start.  That would give her at least 24 cards/projects completed.  I thought this was a great idea and joined her which led to a small group of us doing it as a hop on the 25th of the month last year.  This year we added a twist ~ a  theme that needs to be followed each month.  I hope you enjoy our "sneak peek" at Christmas and will visit us every month for some inspiration of your own.

Now, on to my cards.  Our theme this month was "REINDEER, SANTA AND/OR ELVES" ~ an interesting choice and one I really had to think about.  Here they are:

Card #1:

Card #2:

All of the supplies for these two cards (minus a few of the embellishments ~ gems, bow on wreath, jingle bell, button) came from the Kraftin' Kimmie Kardmaking Kit.  The stamps used were also from Kraftin Kimmie ~  Santa Baby and  Balancing Elf.  It sure made coordinating things for these cards easy and I would recommend them to all.  These are 6" x 6" cards which come with matching envelopes as well.

Thanks for joining our hop today.  Now you are off to Mary's blog to see what reindeer, Santa or elves she has used.  Our hop consists of the following ladies in case you get lost along the way:

Heather  ~ You are here!

Until we meet again, keep crafting and "Merry Christmas"!

Woof! Woof! Christmas

Good Morning and welcome once again for my day to post at One Crazy Stamper.  Christmas just keeps on coming this month and I have another cute Christmas image from High Hopes Christmas release.  But first I want to mention how much fun I had with some of my DT sisters at the all day crop on Saturday.  It has been so good to make friends with others who share my passion for paper crafting.

Alright, now on to my card: I know with my snow wreath last week I mentioned that I liked to use non-traditional Christmas colours and I did it again.  This card is full of pinks, purples and lime greens but still looks fun for Christmas.  I also used a new to me product called Glitter Ritz and enjoyed the end result.

It's Time to Celebrate ~ Paper Playtime Challenge #18

Good Morning.  Is today a holiday where you are?  It is for me (meaning all stores are closed) and we call the Labour Day weekend the unofficial end to Summer as our kids go back to school tomorrow.  I guess that means back to routine for a lot of families.  Since I do not have any school age children, all it will mean for me is that the buses will be more crowded and the stores more empty during the week :)

Today is also the beginning of another challenge over at Paper Playtime.  The challenge for the next two weeks is to use 3 different papers.  Interpret that how you may ~ 3 patterned papers, 3 solid papers or a combination of the two.  My card has more than 3 actually :)  But white is a neutral so it doesn't count, right?
I couldn't help but ink up one of my new cuties from Your Next Stamp.  And I made this card for a special person in my life who has a new venture happening.  It's perfect for what she has going at the moment.

Inside:

RECIPE:
Card Stock and Patterned Paper ~ Recollections
Image ~and Outside Sentiment ~ Your Next Stamp "Cake Pop Fhiona"
Copic Xpress It Blending Card Stock
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Copic Markers
Spellbinders Nestabilities Petite Scalloped Circles
Creative Memories Circle Cutter
Inside Sentiments ~ Studio G Clear Stamps
Sakura Clear Glaze Pen

Thanks for stopping by today.  Please  join us at Paper Playtime for our "3 DIFFERENT PAPERS" challenge.  I will have a few posts for you this week ~ if you haven't seen it yet, scroll down for another challenge ~ and come back Wednesday and Saturday where I have special things to show you as well.

Have a GREAT day no matter what you are doing.
