Birthday Balloons ~ Little Red Wagon Challenge #431

Good Morning.  Wow, can you believe it is the last day of January already?  Where has the time gone???  Anyhow, it is Wednesday and time for a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  We welcome our newest girlfriend, Imke, as hostess this week for her first challenge.  Her theme is BIRTHDAY BALLOONS,  and in her words, you are never too young or too old for birthday balloons.  :)

My card uses the fun stamp set and sentiment from Your Next Stamp called Insanely Happy.  I coloured the troll to look similar to Poppy from the movie Trolls with my copic markers.  Patterned paper is Echo Park I Love Sunshine.  Enamel dots are glittery gumdrops from Your Next Stamp.

Make sure you head on over to Little Red Wagon, check out the inspiration from the other girlfriends and link up some birthday balloons of your own.  Looking forward to seeing your makes.

Have a great Wednesday.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Your Next Stamp Sketch and Colour Challenge #81 ~ I used the sketch for inspiration
Through the Craft Room Door ~ Anything Goes

Kraftin' Kimmie Guest Designer Contest

Hello there.  If you follow my blog, Facebook page or Instagram feed you will know that my "go to" stamps have always been Kraftin' Kimmie.  She and her team are having a contest to be a guest designer for the months of February or March.  These are my entries:

Using "BUDS AND BLOOMS":

Images were stamped on water colour paper and embossed with white embossing powder.  Then they were coloured with Tim Holtz distress inks.

Using "A BREW-TIFUL DAY"

Image was coloured with Copics.  Sentiment is also from the set.

Thanks for dropping by.  Wish me luck!!!!!

Round Up Time ~ Little Red Wagon Challenge #429

Hey there.  That time of the week again.  Time for a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  Brenda is our hostess this week and she wants to see ROUND UP TIME!  She's not talking math or cowboys but wants to see round projects.

This was a hard one for me as square and rectangle are the usual cards I make.  So in order to get a round card I folded a piece of white card stock in half and cut it out along the fold with a circle cutter.  I used three different blues of Tim Holtz distress inks for the sky and then used white watercolour paint and a paint brush to add splatter to look like snow.  Hill is made from Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders.  Image is Kraftin' Kimmie Furry Holiday Wishes coloured with Copics.  Sentiment is Kraftin' Kimmie Winter Whitney

Head on over to Little Red Wagon, check out the inspiration from the other girlfriends and link up a round project of your own.

Thanks for dropping by.  See you again real soon. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #5 ~ One Layer Card (Facebook Challenge)
Through the Craft Room Door ~ Anything Goes

Little Red Wagon Challenge #428 ~ Boy Oh Boy!!

NOTE:  This is my second post for today.  Scroll down for The Merry Christmas Challenge.

Welcome!!  Time of the week again for a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  Our hostess is Jan and she's saying BOY OH BOY!  Now she's not shaking her head in wonder or anger but wants to see your masculine projects.  Projects for boys or men.  Every time this theme comes up I seem to get people who say you can give the same projects to men and women.  While I don't disagree I know the men in my life would not appreciate the colours, flowers and bling that I tend to use on my cards.  So more metal and wood and less bling it is for me.

Stamp is an older one from Stamping Bella and is one I have used before but I really like it for masculine projects.  Paper is Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Chill.  Sentiment is from Michaels $1.50 bin also from a while back.  Stars were in my stash.

And this year I promised myself that I would totally finish my cards so here is the inside:

You know what to do.  Head on over to Little Red Wagon, check out the inspiration from the other girlfriends and then link up a masculine project of your own.  Can't wait to see what you create.

Enjoy the rest of your day!!  Happy Wednesday!

Season's Greetings (MCC#2)

Hello there.  Today is my team's turn to post at

where the challenge is always ANYTHING GOES CHRISTMAS with an optional twist.  This week the optional twist is wisemen.

This card is from an on-line class that a local scrapbooking store put on.  I did not get around to doing the three cards this year for Christmas. All 3 are shaker cards and they were fun to do. Supplies were provided in a kit so I do not know their origin.

It's never too early to start your Christmas projects so why not head on over to The Merry Christmas Challenge blog and link up a Christmas project of your own.  While you are there, make sure you check out what my other design team sisters have made and leave us some love on our blogs.

Thanks for dropping by.  Have a great day!

Happy New Year and Little Red Wagon Challenge #427

EDITED TO ADD:  Major technical difficulties prevented this post from being published when it should have.  A big THANK YOU to Kate at Small Bits of Paper for coming to my rescue and posting on the Little Red Wagon blog. Moving onwards.....

Good Morning!!  And Happy New Year!!  I hope that each one of you had a wonderful holiday season and are ready to begin a new year.  May 2018 be your best one yet and may you be blessed with good things.

I am your hostess this week at Little Red Wagon for our first challenge.  I have chosen the theme "WINTER WONDERLAND" ~ I want to see your projects featuring snow and winter themes.  It seems very appropriate since where I am the temperatures are not rising above -18 Celsius with wind chills in the -30ies.  Winter is here for sure.

My card uses many Lawn Fawn products ~ Perfectly Plaid 6 x 6 paper pad, Small Stitched Rectangle dies, Stitched Hillside Borders dies and Snow Cool stamp set.  The sentiment is one I picked up on sale after Christmas at Michaels when I worked there a few years ago and have never used.  Manufacturer is Momenta.  Bakers twine is Recollections and snowflake charm is from my stash.  Both the falling snow and the sentiment are heat embossed, one with white and the other with detail silver.

So head on over to the Little Red Wagon blog, check out what the other girlfriends have made and link up a winter project of your own.  You have until Tuesday evening.

Thanks for dropping by.  I did say I would have some changes for the New Year and they are coming so stay tuned.  Have a great day!!!
