Little Red Wagon Challenge #352 ~ Christmas in July

Hello there.  It's another Wednesday and another new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  Our hostess this week is Sandy and her theme is CHRISTMAS IN JULY.  I was going around telling everyone that Christmas is only 5 months away on Monday and you should have seen the looks I was getting from my coworkers and customers because of it.  But I am a Christmas fanatic so this challenge was so me.

I used an image from Your Next Stamp called Furry Christmas Friends, coloured it with my Copic makers and layered it onto paper from Craft Smith.  The poinsettia sequins are from a package of table confetti that my Mom gave me recently.  I am also hoping to use it for a shaker card in the future. Inside sentiment is from the same set.  The small image on the inside is there because I am in desperate need of refills for many of my Copic markers and the cat could not be completed with my greys.  (Side note ~ any idea where I can get refills in Canada for a good price or do I have to wait for the new Copic plant to open?)

So thanks for dropping by.  I hope you can join us for Christmas in July at Little Red Wagon and link up a project of your own.

Have a great day!!

Little Red Wagon Challenge #351 ~ I'm Hungry!

Hello there my blog reading friends.  A whole week has passed and it is Wednesday again.  That means time for a new challenge at Little Red Wagon and our hostess this week is my friend Kate. She is saying "I'M HUNGRY!" and while I am typing this blog post she is right about me ~ I am hungry...and off to make supper soon.   Supper is a different challenge altogether ~ I am not much of a cook and don't enjoy it unlike paper crafting.  But back to the challenge at hand, Kate wants to see food on our projects this week.

While checking out some stamp companies I came across this adorable set from Lawn Fawn called Pizza My Heart.  I just knew it was the perfect set for this challenge and it will be great to use over and over again for different occasions.  The fun thing about this is you can add whatever "toppings" you like to the "pizza".  The heart shaped pizzas were coloured with Copics and added to a background resembling an Italian restaurant. A touch of twine added for embellishment and a simple but oh so cute card.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #350 ~ You're A Star

Good morning my friends.  Glad you dropped in for another new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  Our hostess today is Mandy and the theme is "YOU'RE A STAR!" ~ she wants to see your projects with stars.  But secretly, I think she picked this challenge for me.  It's my birthday today and Mandy thinks I am a star.....LOL!!!!

Seriously, the card I am showing you today I made a few weeks ago actually as a custom order for a lady who has twins ~ a boy and a girl ~  to give her husband for Father's Day.  He is a huge baseball fan.  This digi image from My Besties called Bestie Baseball Buds was perfect.  I coloured it with Copics, paired it up with paper from Simple Stories Let's party and added some star butttons that I had in my stash.

Tiddly Inks Design Team Call

Tiddly Inks is holding a design team call.  You can read all about the details HERE.  I decided to throw my hat in the ring and see where it lands.  One of the qualifications was to use your favourite Tiddly Inks stamp.  I can't say I have a favourite stamp but I do adore the Wryn images with all of her flowing hair so she was my choice.

I had a custom order for a young girl of 14 who was graduating from grade 8 and heading to high school next year.  Her school colours are red and gold so I coloured Wryn in them with my Copics and paired her up with a turquoise doily and patterned paper from my stash.  I have had it all so long I do not know the manufacturer.  I added a "bouquet" of paper flowers and viola, a youthful looking grad girl.  Sentiments are on the inside.

Best of luck to all the other applicants.  I hope you have had as much fun colouring up a Tiddly Inks image as I have for the design team call.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope to see you again soon.  Have a great weekend.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #349 ~ Summer Time!

Summer time and the living is easy....I think that's a line from a song. Anyone know which??  LOL!!  Anyhow, it is Wednesday and time for a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  Our hostess is Donna and her theme is SUMMERTIME.  Right now it is hot and humid in my part of Ontario, Canada so Summertime it is ~ perfect for this week's theme.

My card uses an image from my stash that I have coloured up a few times.  It's a Whimsy Stamp by Elisabeth Bell called Skippy and Bobbin.  I really like this cutie with her puppy on the beach.  I coloured her up in pinks and purples using my Copic markers, used Soleil patterned paper from Basic Grey and a die cut from Spellbinders Romantic Ovals.  The finishing touch was real shells paired with a large bow.  Sentiment stamp is from a retired set CARDZ TV "Good Friends". This actually was a custom order and it turned out great.
