Little Red Wagon Challenge #391 ~ Happy Birthday Boys!

Hey there.  It's that day of the week again where we begin a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  Donna is our hostess this week and on a sad note, this is her last challenge with the design team.  We will miss her and wish her much success in her future endeavors.  Her theme for us is HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOYS.  She wants to see birthday projects for guys ~ gift bags, tags, cards, decor ~ anything you make for a birthday.

I used an image from Kraftin' Kimmie called Sky's the Limit, coloured him with Copics and used patterned paper from Echo Park The Story of Our Family.  This is a custom order for a girl whose husband is turning 30.  Is anyone surprised I used another Kraftin' Kimmie image??? LOL!!!!!!

Little Red Wagon Challenge #390 ~ April Showers

Hello once again.  It's the middle of the week and a Wednesday so that means the start of a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  Our hostess this week is Brenda and she has the theme of APRIL SHOWERS ~ perfect for the month of April.  I am looking forward to the May flowers those showers bring.  But Brenda wants to see us use umbrellas, rain boots, rain or even rainbows on our projects.

I used one of the brand new April releases from Kraftin' Kimmie called Rainy Day Lulu.  She is just so sweet in her raincoat and rain boots with her puppy by her side.  I paper pieced the umbrella and raincoat using My Favorite Things Sweet Celebration paper pad.  The image is coloured with Copic markers.  Sentiment is included with the image.  Fish tale die and gumdrop embellishments are from Your Next Stamp. Inside sentiment is by CARDZ TV Encouraging Thoughts set.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #389 ~ Happy Easter!

Hello.  Well it is another Wednesday and time for a new challenge once again at Little Red Wagon.  Our hostess this week is Jan and her theme reflects the upcoming holiday this weekend and is entitled HAPPY EASTER.  She wants to see any type of Easter project. So grab your bunnies, your chicks, your lambs or any other Easter symbols and link it up to the challenge.  And while you are there, make sure you visit all of the girlfriends blogs to see their creations as well.

Easter is more than bunnies, chicks and chocolate to me and my card this week reflects that.  The cross is from His Love by Mama Elephant, 2 are stamped on kraft paper with brown ink and one is on watercolour paper, embossed with white and inked with 3 colours of Tim Holtz distress ink. Both sentiments are from a few years ago in Michaels $1.50 bin.  I used Lawn Fawn Small Stitched rectangles and Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside borders to make the background.  Sky is also Tim Holtz distress ink.

Thanks for dropping by.  Have a great day!

Little Red Wagon Challenge #388 ~ EGG-cellent!!

Good morning!!  Today is my official comeback day and I am really looking forward to being here every Wednesday with a new challenge for Little Red Wagon.  Sometimes creativity just needs a break and then to come back refreshed and ready to go.  That's how I feel.  I am the hostess today at Little Red Wagon and my theme is entitled EGG-CELLENT!  I want to see eggs on your projects, not specifically Easter eggs but any eggs.

My card uses a stamp set from Lawn Fawn called Happy Easter.  I coloured the eggs and the bunny up with Copics and then fussy cut them out.  I used Small Stitched Rectangles and Stitched Hillside Borders, both by Lawn Fawn, to make the scene.  Cloud dies are Your Next Stamp.  The sky was inked on water colour paper with Broken China Distress Ink.  Patterned paper is Doodlebug Springtime and the last of the full sheets in the pad.  I made 3 of these card with different colour bunnies for my 3 grandchildren.
