Somebunny Loves You!

Hello all!  I did get to craft all Wednesday afternoon but I have got to say I am the slowest card maker EVER!!!! The only thing I finished was the card for my grandson (and it was already started).  I did start some Easter cards for the adults in my life but will have to wait a couple of days to finish them.  My hubby keeps telling me it is the fact that I enjoy crafting, not how much I accomplish.  And, I guess he is correct.  No matter what is going on in my life my craft room is my "safe place" and my refuge from the world.  Anyhow, rambling over......here is the card you came to see.

I used another image from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps which if you have noticed, are my "go to" stamps for my grandchildren.  I really like the images for both boys and girls that she has. Paired him up with some Doodlebug papers and he is all set to hop his way across the country in time for Easter.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend.  Take some time for yourself and do something crafty.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #282 ~ You're A Star!

Hello there.  I can not believe it is Wednesday again and time for another challenge at Little Red Wagon. I found I did not have much time to get into my craft room this week and hope to make up for it in the next few days.  But moving on.....this week our hostess is Carolyn and her theme is "YOU'RE A STAR!".  She wants you to use stars on your project.

I think I may have gone a tad bit overboard on the stars on my card but you can't say I didn't follow the theme.  There are stars on the paper, star embellishments, die cut stars, three dimensional stars and even a star themed sentiment.  Somehow it all works! If you want to make your own three dimensional stars I found the tutorial HERE.

RECIPE:
Card Stock ~ Recollections
Patterned Paper and Sentiment ~ Kaisercraft Blast Off!
Cricut Plantin Schoolbook Roly Poly star
cut at 4"
Mod Podge Glossy
Star Punch ~ Fiskars
Creative Memories Circle Cutter
Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink
Twine ~ Maya Road
Star Clips, Yellow Stars ~ from my stash, have had them
so long no idea where they are from

Head on over to check out what all the other girlfriends have done at Little Red Wagon and leave them some love. Then link up your star project.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #281 ~ All Tied Up

Hello y'all and welcome once again to Wednesday ~ the day where we begin a new, fun challenge at Little Red Wagon.  This week our challenge hostess is Tracy and she would like to see projects ALL TIED UP! So pull out your ribbon, your cording, your twine and let's see you use it on your project.  Tie it, knot it, drape it ~ whatever you want as long as you use it.

For some reason I just haven't made a lot of time for crafting lately ~ no excuses, just a fact! So I decided I needed to make time to get cards done that I am actually going to send.  I was able to combine this week's challenge with the Easter card for my grand daughter.  Her brother's is in the works too and I will show that to you soon.  On a side note, I must admit I am getting very excited that I will actually see these little people along with my son and daughter-in-law in just a little over 6 weeks.  Hurry up vacation!!

Spring Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

Hey there, my friends.  Today I have decided to join the literally hundreds of fellow crafty caffeinated enthusiasts in the Spring Coffee Lover's Blog Hop.  Crafting and coffee (or tea, or cocoa or....you get the picture as long as it is HOT) sure do go hand in hand. A slight confession I have about this is that I end up warming my beverage up as I create away and forget it is there to drink.

Creating this fun pink and brown coffee themed card was no exception.  I think I warmed up my Winter Wonderland flavoured coffee at least twice.

RECIPE:
Copic Xpress It Blending Card Stock
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Image ~ C.C. Designs Latte Kiki LaRue
Copic Markers
Card Stock ~ Recollections
Patterned Paper ~ Studio G, Authentique Seasons Autumn

So, why not join this fun hop???  Have you seen the amazing sponsors as well as all of the great entries???  You have until midnight Friday, March 6th to link up your new spring coffee inspired project.

I would also like to enter this into this week's Wonderful Wednesday Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Thanks for dropping in.  Have a crafty day!!

Little Red Wagon Challenge #279 ~ Birds of A Feather

Good Morning.  Welcome to another Wednesday and another new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  If you joined me last week for our Beachy Keen challenge, make sure you have checked back to see if you were one of our featured cards.  This week our hostess is Joanne and she wants to see BIRDS OF A FEATHER ~ use either birds or feathers on your project.  Or both if you get really ambitious :)

I searched through my stamps and did not come up with anything that caught my eye.  So I did a little searching on Pinterest and came up with a pattern for paper feathers.  You can get your copy HERE.  They were fun to make up although be careful when you are shaping them after you have cut the fringe.  I have a couple of "half feathers" to do something with another time.  This card is far from my usual style and had me "spreading my wings" (pun intended) for this challenge.

RECIPE:
Card Stock ~ Recollections, Bazzill
Patterned Paper ~ MME Santa Claus (proof you can use Christmas paper
for lots of other projects)
Patterned Vellum ~ Creative Memories
Sentiments ~ My Creative Time Just a Little Note to Say
Close to My Heart Chocolate Ink
Tim Holtz Tea dye Distress Ink
Your Next Stamp Fishtail/Banner Die Set
Button, Twine, Brads ~ "Use It Up" Inventory

Thanks for dropping by.  Hope you join us this week for the BIRDS OF A FEATHER challenge at Little Red Wagon and link up your project.  While you are there, don't forget to check out what the other girlfriends have made too.
