Little Red Wagon Challenge #311 ~ Tags!

Good morning.  It's my turn this week to hostess at Little Red Wagon and my challenge for you is "TAGS!" ~ I wish I could have thought of something clever to call it but since I didn't it is plain and simple.  I want to see tags by themselves or as part of a card ~ any kind will do.

I have long admired the gorgeous tags that have been done with distress inks as the background so decided to incorporate that technique into my tag.  I had fun getting inky and messy and that is so very unusual for me.  There are lots of great tutorials on Youtube and Pinterest if you are interested in trying your hand at this too.

I used many different colours of Tim Holtz mini distress inks to get this look.  All of the embellishments were found in my stash

Little Red Wagon Challenge #310 ~ It's All About the Boys!

Hello there.  Welcome to another new challenge today at Little Red Wagon..   Our hostess is Carolyn and she wants it to be ALL ABOUT THE BOYS!  When I was a teenager I think my Mom thought I wanted everything all about the boys ~ first crush, first date, first kiss....LOL!! But I digress.....all about the boys in this case means masculine cards.  And it couldn't come at a better time for me as I have two special male birthdays in my life this week ~ my wonderful father and my amazing husband.  My card today was made for my Mom to give to her hubby.

I used an image and sentiment from the set Wild and Crazy Guys by Kraftin' Kimmie stamps.  Paper and enamel dots are Echo Park Jack and Jill boy collection.  The image is embossed with white to look like a chalk board.  Was a fun card to do.

PDE Linky Party Anything Goes ~ Love You to the Moon and Back

Hey there, my friends.  It is my turn this month to link up at PDE Linky Party and our theme is an easy, peasy one for sure.  No reason you can't all join in with any creative project you do this week whether it is paper crafting or something else.  We want to see all of your creative endeavors. 

This card I made for my grandson's 3rd birthday.  Whenever I am skyping with them I always end our session with air kisses and "LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK" so when I saw this stamp I just knew I had to have it.  I paired it with a stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps called "Great Adventures".  Paper and embellishments are from Simple Stories So Rad, perfect for boy cards.

I am going to end today by sharing a picture of my three grandchildren.  I got to meet the new baby this week as he and his momma were visiting for a few days.  That was incredible.  I do miss them and do love them to the moon and back.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #308 ~ Anything for Fall Y'All!!!

Good Morning and welcome back for another new challenge at Little Red Wagon,  This week our hostess is Donna and her theme is "ANYTHING FOR FALL Y'ALL!" ~ pretty self explanatory if you ask me.

Fall is one of my favourite times of the year with the cooler temperatures, the bountiful harvest, Thanksgiving here in Canada in October and the changing of the leaves.  I enjoy driving in the country and taking so many pictures wearing a snugly sweater.  My card uses a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp called "Hey There Punkin!" .  All the paper and embellishments were in my stash so no names attached.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #306 ~ Digi Do!

Good Morning.  Wow, I can not believe it has been two weeks since I have last posted or written anything on my blog.  Life has thrown me some curve balls this last little while but I have been taking them like a pro baseball player and just kept plugging along.  Haven't had much time for creativity that's for sure.

Today begins a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  Our hostess is Jan and she has entitled her challenge "DIGI DO" ~ in other words, she would like us to use a digi stamp on your card.  Now, it is true confession time....I thought I was going to have to skip this challenge altogether (or fib and just use a good old stamp) because I don't have a working printer.  But Jan to the rescue.  Some companies, such as the one I used, produce their stamps both in digis and rubber.  This is Neveah by Saturated Canary (in rubber on my card) but available HERE in digi.  She is so pretty that I had to make a delicate feminine card for sure.  Paper is Enchanted by Simple Stories. Flowers are Recollections and flourish die is Memory Box.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #304 ~ A Colour Challenge

Good Morning.  Glad you could make it for a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  I am the hostess this week and I have a colour challenge for you: PINK, TURQUOISE AND GREEN.  You can add neutrals or even a bit of another colour as long as these three are the focus.

I coloured up Mini Birthday Fhiona from Your Next Stamp with coloured pencils on a tag added to the card.  I used some Cuttlebug Embossing folders to give the colours some depth.  A few faux flowers and voila, a cute birthday card.

Good morning!  Glad you could take a few minutes to come visit me at my little corner of the crafting world.  Today starts a new challenge at PDE Linky Party.  Our theme for this week, as you can see, is BESTIES cards.

I used a stamp from Stamping Bella's Uptown Girls Collection called Uptown Girls Pattie and Dottie Friends Forever and coloured it up with my Copic markers.  The sentiment is included with the stamp. Patterned paper is from MME Breeze. Flowers and enamel dots are dollar store finds.  A great way to say Happy Birthday to your Bestie.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #303 ~ Pick Up the Pieces

Good Morning!  Is it HOT where you live?  It sure has been hot here the last week or so.  We don't have air conditioning in the apartment so it has not been pleasant.  Glad we have fans and the apartment pool to use to cool off.  I hope you are enjoying the last few weeks of Summer vacation.

It is Wednesday and time for a new challenge at Little Red Wagon.  Our hostess this week is Carolyn and she wants us to PICK UP THE PIECES.  Let's see some paper piecing on your project.

I used an image from Your Next Stamp called Fairy Fhiona, coloured her with my Copic markers and paper pieced the dress.  Her wings are shining with Wink of Stella Clear.  Sentiment is Michaels $1.50 bin.The paper is Jillybean Soup Coconut Lime Soup. A Martha Stewart Butterfly punch and Your Next Stamp gumdrops in olive round out the embellishments.
