My First.....and I'm in LOVE!!!!!

Good Morning blog world!  Today is Tuesday which means I made it through Monday. Days like Monday and Friday mean nothing to you really when you work part time retail because the store seems like it is always open, and I guess, in a way it is, because there are some hours of operation every single day.  But there are huge changes coming down at the store where I work and I found out about them Sunday and this made Monday a much harder day than usual and I made it through (partly due to the fact that when I got off of work Monday I ended up taking a 4 hour nap and didn't have to think!)  Okay, so enough about that....on to crafting.....

Friday and Saturday I spent with my BFF who I have not seen in forever.  We used to spend at least one weekend a month together but then I got the above mentioned retail job and finding time has been hard.  She told me she had found something new that she had been playing with and taking classes with....copic markers.  I, of course, had heard of them and had seen the wonderful stamps that people colour with them.  So I tried hers and let's just say I hope I can visit her more often in the next few months or win the lottery as I am HOOKED.  So relaxing to sit and colour and blend.  I coloured several images and they will  be showing up in some cards and projects in the next little bit on my blog but here is the first....

I know the stamp is from The Greeting Farm, copic markers are from my BFF and all the other supplies are from my stash.  I am in LOVE.  Copic marker addiction here I come  :)  My non-existent craft budget can't suffer if it's not there, right?

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope things are great with all of you.  Take care, my friends.  And I will see you back here again real soon.

  1. Oh Heather, you did a beautiful job! I have a freaiend who owns copics, I haven't tried any yet... i am scared I will like them :)

  2. Beautiful card Heather. I really want a) to take a copic class b) get some Greeting Farm stamps c) get together with you. Not necessarily in that order. lol The Greeting Farm stamps go perfectly with the copics. I also work lousy hours 9:30-1:30 Mon, 2-7 Tues, 9:30-9:00 Wed & Fri and 10-3 Sat. It sucks not having 2 days in a row off. It is like your week never ends.

  3. Love your card! You did an awesome job with the Copics!! I know I am hooked on them!!! I love my PrismaColor Pencils but since I've started using Copics, they have taken a backseat. They are sooooo addictive! I get mine at Hobby Lobby when they have the 40% off coupon. :)

  4. Wonderful job! love the card and yea I want to learn copics too but my budget can't finance me either...lol..thanks for sharing! :)

  5. Hi, adding your own touch is fantastic. I love coloring my images too. However you are right they are sooooo pricey. I purchased promarkers which are very similar or tria from the same company. I was able to get them from carpe diem store in the states for a fantastic price. Promarkers 1.45 each and tria 1.95 each. They are non refillable but it's going to take a long time to empty one....just a thought. www.canadiancraftcorner.blogspot.com

    The card is lovely.

  7. I just love coloring so anything that makes serious fun even more so is awesome. Your card is just adorable.
