Teenage Boy Birthday Card

Hello my blogging friends!  It has been a while since I last posted anything but I had to make a card for my nephew's birthday party this weekend and it has been the only thing I have done that's creative in a LONG while.  Truthfully, I am missing it greatly but the apartment needs to get packed up and the pink castle painted over before we go and we have 13 more days to do it!  I MAY get a bit of time to craft this long weekend but I have to work part of it, am spending some time with family and totally packing the rest of my scrapping supplies.  This may be my last post with a project until the flip side (and by the time I get all unpacked and the internet hooked up) that might not be until the end of September.  Don't miss me too much as I will be back!  :)  BUT wish me luck as I find change stressful and am feeling the effects of this already.

Okay, on to the card.....

This is one of those cards that looks simple but uses a lot of little things to create it. I am entering it into Made By Momo's challenge to use black & white & only one other colour. It has been a while since I have done any challenges as well.

Supplies Used:

Cardstock - Recollections Value Pack
-Coordinations Black Magic (sent through the Cuttlebug Traffic Jam folder and sanded to show the blue although it looks white in the photo)

Cricut Cartridges - Doodlecharms for the cupcake, cut at 3 1/2"
- Don Juan for the numbers, cut at 1"

Punches - Martha Stewart Zig Zag border punch
Stamping Up word window punch

Stamps are from Michaels $1.50 bin

All other misc. supplies are from my stash

Thanks for visiting today.  Have a wonderful Thursday and a great long weekend if I am not around.  This is only one of a few long weekends that both Canada and the US share, always marking the end of summer and back to school after for those of us here in Ontario.
