Good morning, all!
Is the title of this post even a word? You know me & my grammar :) But the point is that yesterday was actually my blog anniversary. I have had it up and running for a year. Only a year and I have 154 followers, a Facebook fan page (that grew out of this blog), am a member of 2 amazing design teams and have made a HUGE number of friends and acquaintances in the crafting world. WOW!!!!!
I had no idea when one of my co-workers handed me a list of blogs and U tube people that she followed where it would take me. My first stop was (and I am going to do some name dropping here because it is where I started) Robyn at My Pink Stamper. I enjoyed her videos, tutorials and challenges from the get-go....and I still do :). From Robyn, I moved on to Emma at My Creative Time where she still even had blogspot in her name. I found Sarah at Pink Cricut, Mari at Made by Momo and Mary at CARDZ TV, just to name a few of the first blogs I followed. I found fellow Canadians like Kerry at Momma K Crafts and Lisa at Crop and Create. One of the first "conversations" I recall having in my new world was with Janis at Pause, Dream, Enjoy about where she got a specific cricut cut and she sent me some of the cuts as I did not have that cart. By no means is this an exclusive list, because that list would fill pages and pages of my blog, but just a few of the highlights of the past year. My family has even began to say that all of my friends live in this little black box in my den :)
So, where do I see myself a year from now? Well, first and foremost, I do this for me. So whether I lose or gain followers my blog will still be here as a record of all the crafting and fun projects in my life. I would love to be able to get a face lift for my blog, that is, have a blog designed especially for Princess Paper Projects and lose the .blogspot in my name too. I would love to have many, many more followers whom I inspire on a weekly basis to paper craft. And I hope to still be on some design teams, whether they be my present ones or others that I have moved on to. A design team of my own someday would be awesome but I don't see it for the next year anyhow ;) I want to still have my blogging friends that inspire me to be the best I can be at my crafting.
Just a final thought before I end this post......THANK YOU!!!!....Thank you all for everything you have meant to me over this year. All the support, love and comments continue to move me along my journey to being the best I can be. And I can't be that without all of you.
Until next time (where I hope to post a project, not just ramble on with words),
{{{{{HUGS}}}}}, Heather
Congrats on the one year and I look forward to getting more inspiration from you in the future!

Congrats Heather!
ReplyDeleteIf as women we encourage each other to be the best we can be, we can change the world one craft at a time. Here's to many more years in the blog world.
Congratulations Heather! You are an inspiration to us all. Thanks for the shout out. I saw you message that you don't drive so Amanda and I will have to come to you (when the weather is a little better)lol.

Heather, isn't it amazing what has grown over the past year? I find it so interesting that moments although so simple at the time, are moments remembered a year later and how much that one moment impacted a life. I love this post. I used to post just talking like this and haven't done it in a while. You've inspired me to have my own current "ramble" post. I'm so happy we are friends! And I agree with everything you said - that blogging is crafting is something we do for ourselves. It's not about the followers, but oh my gosh the followers are a nice added bonus to know someone is interested in what you do, what you craft, what you have to say. It is a boost! Hugs, girlie! :) Janis
