You Say It's Your Birthday Blog Hop - In An Octopus's Garden

For this hop, we were asked to use Beatles songs to inspire us to make a card for Erika's daughter Ashley who is having a hard time right now.  Ashley is turning 11 years old and has her own blog and although not an official part of this hop go visit her at Ashley's Creative Journey and leave her some love :)

Although I was born in the 60ies I am not much of a Beatles fan (much to Erika's dismay) so when I began searching for songs I changed my mind many times.  But when I even heard the title of "In An Octopus's Garden" my mind immediately planned a card in my head.  And for once the card in my head and the card I made look very similar.

This card is a 5"x 5" square.  The plain card stock is by Recollections and the glitter card stock is by DCWV.  The octopus, background plants and coral are from "Life is a Beach" Cricut cartridge.  The stamp is from My Pink Stamper's Everyday Occassions.  Flowers, bling and wiggly eyes are from my stash.  I hope Erika and Ashley enjoy it.
