Good Monday morning, my friends. I hope your weekend was good and you all got some crafting or time for yourselves in whatever you spent it doing. It is the last Monday of the month and that means digi Monday over at Paper Playtime. I still have much to learn about colouring digi stamps but am still enjoying trying :)
The first card I made used Digital Delights by Louby Lou and features St. Patrick's Day Larry topper image. I just thought he was so cute and what better way to display him than to place him "peeking" over a wall. He just makes me smile.
My second project uses an image from Digis With Attitude. Mikey Monkey is so cute as he tries to look mean and angry just hanging on his tree branch. I made him into a bookmark. I used a combination of water colour pencils and markers to colour him and them carefully cut him out for the book mark.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Remember the theme at Paper Playtime this week is Anything Goes so come and play along with us. We love what you all come up with for our challenges.
Take care, y'all. Hope to see you again really soon.

FIF #13 Matchbox
Good Morning, my bloggy friends. I have definitely been MIA for a bit. Life gets busy and as you all know, can get in the way. I have completed all the projects for my design teams but that's all the crafting I have been able to fit in. I need to do something just for me to post here for you.
Today the new challenge at Flaunt It Fridays is to use the matchbox #2 from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More. This cut is extremely challenging and was so hard for me to figure out as I do not have the cartridge but just as a free download on my Gypsy. Thanks to all my wonderful design team members for the help when I was so frustrated with it. Just a hint if you are going to make one....use heavy cardstock for both the base and the lid and place both on your Gypsy mat at the same time so they will size proportionately and fit together....clear as mud :). Please feel free to contact me if you need further help.
Here is the little box I came up with after I wasted a ton of paper that did not fit:
As far as the supplies I used I know that the card stock and printed card stock are Recollections and everything else is from my stash. I have NO crafting budget right now at the moment so it is either use it up or don't make it. Since I have enough in my stash not making a project doesn't seem to be a problem. This box could be used for a gift card or small gift or for whatever you want to use it for.
Please come over and join us this week at Flaunt it Fridays and show us how you flaunt your matchbox or similar cuts.
Until next time,
{{{{{HUGS}}}}}, Heather

An Old Fashioned Cameo
Do any of you remember your grandmother wearing a cameo brooch? Well the silhouette from Forever Young reminded me of this and so it was the inspiration for this card. It is not officially my team's week at Flaunt it Fridays but I used the cut and made this quick card. All supplies were from my stash.
I'm just building up my collection of cards as it is getting very low. I like how this card turned out so much I think I may do it in a few other colours besides purple and keep them handy.
Thanks for dropping in today. Please go over to visit Flaunt It Fridays and show us what you can do with your silhouette cuts.
Until next time,

Paper Playtime #38 Animal Print
Hey. y'all!!! First off, Happy Valentine's Day! It's not really a day that I make too much of but just didn't want you to think that I forgot. Hee hee!!
Today your mission if you chose to accept it is to make a project using an animal print and link it here at Paper Playtime. My personal stash of cards is getting very low so I made a card for this challenge. But I wanted it to be a challenge so I tried to find a card fold that I had never used before and came up with one called a gatefold card. Pretty simple really. You take a piece of 8 1/2" X 4 1/4" card stock and score it at 2 1/8" and again at 6 3/8" to form "gates". Add some decorative layers and viola, a cute new card.
The card stock is all from Recollections including the animal print. It is from their new collection of printed card stock called appropriately, Animal Print. The flower is cut at 2 1/4" from the Forever Young Cricut cartridge. The pink animal print ribbon is from Michaels.
Thanks for visiting today. Please come over and join us at Paper Playtime and show us how you use your animal print.

FIF Paper Doll Dress Up Blog Hop
Good Friday morning, my friends, and welcome to Flaunt it Fridays Paper Doll Dress Up Blog hop. If you have come from Melissa's blog you are in the right place. If you just happened to come to my blog today, go on over to Flaunt it Fridays blog to start at the beginning of this hop to visit all of the talented designers blogs. There is a list of the entire blog hop at the end of this post in case you get lost along the way.
The cut that we were to flaunt today were Raggedy Anne & Andy from the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge. There were so many possibilities with these little guys but I chose to make a 5"x 5" card and matching gift bag.
All card stock is from Recollections including their new printed card stock collection for the light blue gingham. Dark blue gingham is Creative Memories. The scalloped square and plain square are from Mini Monograms Cricut cartridge and the hearts are from Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge. Faces are from Peachy Keen Stamps Everyday Face Assortment. I used a smaller one and the exact same larger one for both pieces. The stamp is from Inkadinkadoo (I believe).
For my second project, I made a scrapbook layout. My niece had her 3rd baby just before Christmas and this is to put pictures of baby Ethan on (whom I have yet to meet but hope to shortly).
This little boy is a combination of more than one image on Paper Doll Dress Up. The hair and crown are from the prince and the clothes are from the cowboy. Again Peachy Keen gives him his cute face. "Little Prince" was welded on my Gypsy using Blackletter font. I cut it twice and just put them off kilter to look like a shadow.
That's it for my two projects. Now hop on over to Theresa's blog and see what she has created. I know it will be awesome.
Thanks for joining me on this blog hop. Enjoy all of the projects that our design team has made for you today. And here is the complete line up just in case you get lost:

A Second Reminder & A Quick Card to Share
Good morning!!! First, a huge big shout out to all of my new followers. I went from 156 on Monday before the blog hop to 185 as of this morning. Wow. Thank you all and I hope that I can inspire you to be as creative in your endeavours as you can be :)
Second, this is just a reminder to join me along with 16 other incredibly talented ladies for the Flaunt it Fridays Paper Doll Dress Up blog hop starting at Flaunt it Fridays. Hopping starts bright & early Friday morning. Hope to see you there.
And, third, just a quick card that I made for a friend's daughter's birthday to share with you. My stash is so low right now that I actually had to make something instead of pulling one out of what I have. So as a bonus I get to share it here with you all as a new project.
It uses paper from the DCWV All Girl matstack. Shoes are from Forever Young Cricut cartridge. Stamp is From My Pink Stamper Everyday Occasions. Quick & easy but will do the trick for a girl who like purple and is a "girly" girl
Thanks for dropping in today. See you back here really soon.

You Say It's Your Birthday Blog Hop - In An Octopus's Garden
I'd like to be, under the sea In an octopus' garden in the shade
He'd let us in, knows where we've been in his octupus' garden, in the shade.
We would shout(out) and swim about The coral that lies beneath the waves
Oh what joy for every girl and boy Knowing they're happy and they're safe
We would be so happy you and me No one there to tell us what to do
I'd like to be under the sea In an octopus' garden with you
For this hop, we were asked to use Beatles songs to inspire us to make a card for Erika's daughter Ashley who is having a hard time right now. Ashley is turning 11 years old and has her own blog and although not an official part of this hop go visit her at Ashley's Creative Journey and leave her some love :)
Although I was born in the 60ies I am not much of a Beatles fan (much to Erika's dismay) so when I began searching for songs I changed my mind many times. But when I even heard the title of "In An Octopus's Garden" my mind immediately planned a card in my head. And for once the card in my head and the card I made look very similar.
OUTSIDE:
INSIDE:
This card is a 5"x 5" square. The plain card stock is by Recollections and the glitter card stock is by DCWV. The octopus, background plants and coral are from "Life is a Beach" Cricut cartridge. The stamp is from My Pink Stamper's Everyday Occassions. Flowers, bling and wiggly eyes are from my stash. I hope Erika and Ashley enjoy it.
Thanks for joining us on this hop today. We have some amazing sponsors so please remember to leave some love along the way for a chance to win prizes from Peachy Keen Stamps, Cricutmachine.com, Kich N Bleus and 40:31 Stamps. Now it's time to hop on over to Cheryl's blog and see what she has created for you.

A Reminder & "Thank You" Card/Gift Card Holders
Good Sunday morning, all! Well, today is Super Bowl Sunday. Are you crafting? I am going to spend some time in my craft room working on some upcoming design team projects and my own scrapbooking. Big goals for this afternoon and evening. :)
Just sharing a reminder of the blog hop that starts tomorrow that I am going to be participating in. It is all projects inspired by Beatles songs and we have a fantastic line up of talented ladies. You won't want to miss it.
And I just couldn't post without sharing a couple of "Thank You" gift card holder cards I made the other day. The tutorial for making them I found here at Made by Momo's blog . One is for a friend of mine and uses no Cricut cuts at all, just inking, twine and flowers from my stash. The other one is for my Dad to give to his neighbour that has been kind enough to shovel his snow this winter as my Dad has not been able to himself for the first time ever. The snow angel girl is from Winter Frolic. All other supplies are from my stash. Each of these cards needed to hold a gift card and they were perfect for that.
Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your day no matter how you spend it.

FIF #10 - Lips
Good morning, my friends! Today at Flaunt It Fridays the cut that was used in the challenge was the lips from Indie Art. I do not actually own this cartridge but it was part of the free Gypsy download so I was able to use the exact cut. This is the card that I created.
Outside:
and inside:
It is an extremely simple card, using the new Recollections printed card stock from the Elegant package, all black and white printed card stock. It also used the Sizzix embossed Valentine's Day border. Lately I have been finishing the inside of my card as well just to give it a polished off look and to have it ready to sell.
Hope you enjoyed my project. Thank you for dropping by and remember, please come join us at Flaunt it Fridays this week and show us your creations. We love it when you do.
Until next time,

Hugs and Kisses
Good snowy morning, all! Just an extremely quick card I threw together before I had to go out in the snow to catch the bus for work. We have about 10 cm of newly fallen overnight snow and I think there is a bit more coming this afternoon. No where near what was predicted and definitely not enough for a snow day for me :( Oh well......here is the card:
It uses Smiley Cards, one of the free downloads for the Gypsy. This was the first time I had used this cartridge. Peachy Keen stamps gives these hugs & kisses their cute faces. Lots of doodling, a hand written sentiment, a button and a bow and viola! a quick and easy card.
Thanks for stopping by. I am off into this storm. Wish me luck :)

BLOGGERVERSARY!!!!
Good morning, all!
Is the title of this post even a word? You know me & my grammar :) But the point is that yesterday was actually my blog anniversary. I have had it up and running for a year. Only a year and I have 154 followers, a Facebook fan page (that grew out of this blog), am a member of 2 amazing design teams and have made a HUGE number of friends and acquaintances in the crafting world. WOW!!!!!
I had no idea when one of my co-workers handed me a list of blogs and U tube people that she followed where it would take me. My first stop was (and I am going to do some name dropping here because it is where I started) Robyn at My Pink Stamper. I enjoyed her videos, tutorials and challenges from the get-go....and I still do :). From Robyn, I moved on to Emma at My Creative Time where she still even had blogspot in her name. I found Sarah at Pink Cricut, Mari at Made by Momo and Mary at CARDZ TV, just to name a few of the first blogs I followed. I found fellow Canadians like Kerry at Momma K Crafts and Lisa at Crop and Create. One of the first "conversations" I recall having in my new world was with Janis at Pause, Dream, Enjoy about where she got a specific cricut cut and she sent me some of the cuts as I did not have that cart. By no means is this an exclusive list, because that list would fill pages and pages of my blog, but just a few of the highlights of the past year. My family has even began to say that all of my friends live in this little black box in my den :)
So, where do I see myself a year from now? Well, first and foremost, I do this for me. So whether I lose or gain followers my blog will still be here as a record of all the crafting and fun projects in my life. I would love to be able to get a face lift for my blog, that is, have a blog designed especially for Princess Paper Projects and lose the .blogspot in my name too. I would love to have many, many more followers whom I inspire on a weekly basis to paper craft. And I hope to still be on some design teams, whether they be my present ones or others that I have moved on to. A design team of my own someday would be awesome but I don't see it for the next year anyhow ;) I want to still have my blogging friends that inspire me to be the best I can be at my crafting.
Just a final thought before I end this post......THANK YOU!!!!....Thank you all for everything you have meant to me over this year. All the support, love and comments continue to move me along my journey to being the best I can be. And I can't be that without all of you.
Until next time (where I hope to post a project, not just ramble on with words),
